Run it back: a Street Fighter documentary

Posted: January 5, 2011 in NooZ

Run it back is a documantary about Street Fighter and it’s competitive scene from 1992 to the release of the fighting game resurrection of Street Fighter IV.  It’s broken down into 3 parts.

One thing that fighting games have over all other genres is their fans.  These fans know what it’s all about, from the mind games to the strategy.  There’s no team to blame a loss on, no kill/death ratio to flaunt, no noob tubes or button mashers, there is no hiding or camping.  There’s only one player versus another, on the same screen, with the same tools.  It’s the purest competition available in video game format…  and it’s beautiful.
